High quality tools feature stainless steel blades with a heavy duty spring and positive locking mechanism. The safety stop may be used to ensure that only the correct amount of nail is removed, reducing the risk of cutting into the quick and causing the dog discomfort. The moulded handles have a special silicone rubber antislip grip for maximum comfort. Available in medium and large sizes.
Instructions for Use:
Choose the right nail clippers for your dog’s size. Find a well-lit area and ensure both you and your dog are calm. Hold the nail cutter with the screw facing you and cut the nails a little at a time until the nail is level with the underside of the paws pad. If the dog has extremely long nails it is advisable to cut them weekly, this way the blood vessels will retreat back into the nail and it will allow the nail to be cut to the desired length. Reward your dog and provide positive reinforcement after each successful trim. If unsure, seek guidance from a professional groomer or veterinarian.
Tip: Always keep a pot of styptic powder (stop bleed powder) close by when trimming nails.
